Manatee United Methodist Preschool (MUMPS) was started in the 1960's as a "Mother's Day Out" ministry to allow moms a place to leave their kids while they took some times to themselves. Over the years it evolved into a more structured entity, until it officially became a state-licensed Preschool.
Since then it has served the families of the Greater Bradenton area, offering quality child care and preschool education, all with a United Methodist approach to caring, friendship, and quality learning.
Now... MUMPS is joining together with First For Kids of First United Methodist Church of Bradenton to offer an even better level of care and learning! During the summer of 2026, all children will attend classes at First United Methodist Church Bradenton while the facilities at Manatee LIFE are being upgraded and restructured. In the fall, classes will begin for both Preschools on the Manatee LIFE Campus.
